Norfolk Drug and Alcohol Action Team

The Norfolk Drug and Alcohol Action Team (DAAT) is one of 149 across the country. Drug Action Teams are strategic bodies set up under the UK Government's Strategy for England "'Reducing demand, restricting supply, building recovery: supporting people to live a drug-free life". The Norfolk Drug and Alcohol Action Team (DAAT) is a team of Officers employed by Norfolk County Council who work for, and on behalf of, the Norfolk Drug and Alcohol Partnership. The DAAT are responsible for taking forward the following areas of work:  

  • Leading on the development and coordinating the operational implementation of N-DAP strategies and action plans.
  • Communicating the work and role of N-DAP, its achievements, future plans and intentions. 
  • Supporting professional development, through the commissioning and provision of a wide range of training course, seminars and events.
  • Leading on the commissioning and performance management of substance misuse services for both young people and adults within the county and supporting the development of wider joint commissioning activity with partner organisations.
  • Supporting and developing Service User and Carer engagement and involvement.
