Introduction
Welcome to Nordat Training Page. The DAAT and our partner agencies run training in basic drug and alcohol awareness, and many other courses which you will find listed via the link under 2011/2012 Training Schedule below.
Unfortunately our training is only available to Norfolk organisations; Norfolk residents and those organisations with clients in Norfolk.
The DAAT training is, in most instances, given free of charge but penalty costs can be incurred and will be charged regardless for late cancellation and 'no shows' so we strongly recommend that before applying for any of our courses you read our Terms and Conditions of Training.
2011/2012 Training Schedule
We are currently in the process of putting our 2011/12 training schedule together; this will be an on-going process over the next couple of months. To view our courses click here. Our policy is that no more than 3 people from any one organisation book on any one course; this ensures fairness; good networking and sharing of experiences.
Please do not assume that you have a place on any of our courses unless you have received a confirmation letter or email.
If you need to complete an application form manually please download by clicking on the link below. Click on the gray areas to enter information or select options from the drop-down menu. The Brief Interventions training day is one element of a course which comprises three parts:
- A 'Brief Interventions' training day (run by the UEA)
- An online consolidation exercise to review material from the BI session and to
reinforce learning.
- A 'Train the trainers' course (run by Alcohol Concern) to prepare identified individuals to become a facilitator of further training in their practice area (please note a separate application will need to be made for this element).
